AGM: Retro Gamer Outfit

At this moment, I have three Black Milk pieces ..although after Thursday… *cough
These are Retro Gamers and although I wasn’t sure if I’d like them initially, when they arrived .. I was so over the moon!

Prescription Glasses (Ray Bans), Ah Munna Eat Chu Tee (Threadless), Retro Gamer Leggings (Black Milk), Domo-kun Jumper (Jayjays), Socks (from Gerry!), Boot Heels (Naughty Monkey)

I actually had no idea what to wear with the leggings at first; but I settled on the Domo-kun Jumper!

It felt quite fitting as I wore this to my last day as a committee member of SAMA! I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since I first got elected in to the position (see here); and although stressful, I can say it was an awesome time spent with some pretty cool people! But yes, it was a sad thing to let go of ..yet so relieved that I no longer have responsibility!

So yes, Congratulations to our successors! It was a fun time and hopefully you guys will do an awesome job~
Anyway, I absolutely love these leggings, although I’m still trying to figure out exactly how to style them hmm. Not really sure if I want to dress them up or dress them down since they’re already quite a ‘flashy’ piece hehe. ♥

What do you think?
How would you wear these Retro Gamers?

MCAC Social Night 2011

As you know, I’m on the committee for the Anime club at my University.
And on the night of Friday, 23rd of September, we held a ‘Social Night’ which is pretty much a formal night of pretty dresses, stunning suits, good food, lots of fun, and awards amongst lots of good friends! ♥

On the night, the committee got there earlier and decorated the place.
As you can see in the above photo, table decorations consisted of alternating twig lights and decorations. The committee table had orange/yellow LED lights whilst the rest of the tables had blue~ish ones.  On each table there were crystals, LED candle lights and individual name tags! And the entire room was filled with silver and balloons.

Entree: (L) Extra virgin Marinated beef salad with Feta, Baby cos, Spanish onion and Cherry tomatoes and (R) Wood smoked duck breast with tomato chutney and a duck liver & mandarin pate.

Main: (L) Slowly Braised Lamb shank in a rich ragout, served on creamy mash with seasonal vegetables and (R) Roasted supreme of chicken Breast set upon creamy mash with seasonal vegetables in a pool of cup mushroom ragout.

Dessert: (L) Zesty Lemon tart served with fresh-whipped cream and berry compote and (R) Sticky-Date pudding, served warm with vanilla bean ice cream, toffee sauce, donned with a caramel shard.

Planning this event was definitely an experience for myself.
You’d think that these events are as simple as choosing the menu and buying some balloons. But no, having to cater for different groups of people and their different tastes, all within a budget is actually really not as easy as you’d think it’d be.  But I’m actually really glad that I was able to be a part of something like this; and to help shape/mould how the night would turned out in the end! Even if it meant getting no hardly any sleep prior to it~

I’d just like to say a quick thank you to the rest of the committee for being a bunch of awesome friends, making the night wonderful, and for putting up with my picky/demanding orders~ !

Have you ever attended a formal event?
Or have you ever planned one?

EOS Dolly Eye Violet

I know that you’re all expecting to see the other video and the other things that we bloggers have been up to; but I thought it’d be nice to take a short break and review some lenses that mukuCHU sent me a few days ago.
Photos taken under room light in the evening.
I had no idea what type of lenses mukuCHU were going to send so it was quite a surprise to open the package and find some awesome violet lenses (as my other ones are quite old now)
Review: EOS Dolly Eye Violet (2 Tone)
You can find it on mukuCHU “here” !
POWER/PRESCRIPTION: 0.00 (Plano) to -10.00
B.C.: 8.6mm
DIAMETER: 14.20mm
Before I even opened the bottle or tried them on, I was pretty impressed with how vivid the colours seemed to be. They also reminded me of the GEO Angel Purple contacts; although the colour is much more vivid in these EOS ones. (♥)

However, after trying them on I was quite ..shocked to find that the middle part where it’s supposed to be transparent was much smaller than the ones I’ve been used to (Geo Angels)! I’m not sure if it’s just me and my own pupils but I found it slightly annoying because it felt like I could kind of see the corners of that circle bit. :\

Photos taken with flash in the evening / omg I look so scary v-v’
Colour: ♥♥♥♥♥ - The colours are absolutely vivid and beautiful! But it’s definitely not good for a natural look!
Design: ♥♥♥♥♡ - I find that the design is quite normal for a circle lens but still good!
Comfort: ♥♥♥♡♡Ugh, rated a bit low because of the middle part being too small. (Might just be me though)
Enlargement: ♥♥♥♥♡They’re 14.2mm so they do have enlargement but not super big like others.
Overall: ♥♥♥♡♡Not as good as I had hoped it could’ve been mainly because of comfort.
Repurchase? Probably not :( Even if I really do like how bright the colour is; the fact that the centre part is really small makes it hard for me to want to wear it out often as it’s kinda annoying.

But yes, I do hope that this review helped some of you in the choice of whether you wanted to purchase these EOS lenses or not. I personally would choose GEO Angel Purples over this despite the colour being a bit less bright; but I seriously couldn’t stand how small those centre bits were :( !
I also find it awkward that I couldn’t have two different prescriptions for the two different eyes as I was given both -1.50 (I needed one for -1.25) but I was okay with it as my power has probably increased to that by now lol!
