Introducing: どきどき Station

If you live in Melbourne, you might have heard about the recent Grand Opening of  “どきどき Station” !
どきどき Station (Doki Doki Station) is pretty much a mobile maid and butler café that offers not only entertainment, games, performances but also serve yummy desserts and beverages (whilst wearing maid / butler outfits of course)

Photo of the Maids taken from their Facebook Page

I was lucky enough to be invited to the Grand Opening by the manager, Angela ♥
She’s a good friend of mine, so when Angela asked if I would like to come along to write a blog post for どきどき Station, I was pretty excited! I have never experienced an actual maid cafe before, so the only expectations that I had were based off the internet/japanese shows, which was mainly: cute girl in a maid outfit serves you yummy food!

Got to get a photo taken with some of the cute maids ♥

Thank you to Manager Angela for inviting me over to the Grand Opening!

Were my expectations met? Definitely!
There were plenty of sweet, cute maids present, including the beautiful Phuju!
I think I was able to speak to nearly all of them, as they were sweet enough to start up conversations with us whilst we were waiting for our food to arrive. We were also entertained half way with an enjoyable dance performance of  ‘Secret – Shy Boy’ from maid Maiko! I also believe that apart from the food&drinks menu, they also had a game / service menu in which you could choose certain activities to do whilst at the café. (which I didn’t get a chance to do)

Phuju being adorbs and drawing 'the most artistic thing' on my plate <3

Vu and I shared the 'いちごKiss" plus an ice-tea and cappacino ! (Cute usagi picture down by Phuju!)

どきどき Station is still in their early stages, so I can’t wait to see how big this becomes! And hopefully they’ll be able to open in an actual restaurant/café more than just once a week when that time comes!!

So yes, if you’re free on a Sunday, definitely check them out!
And head over to their Facebook page to find out more information ♥

Napoleon Perdis Makeup Lesson!

Not many of you know this but I actually won a Nuffnang Competition with this post back in February 2010, which granted me a $250 gift voucher to RedBalloon (go check them out), so yes, after much time, I finally used one of the ‘experiences’ I chose on Thursday!  It was a Makeup lesson with Napoleon Perdis (plus $95 worth of products!) Yayy ♥

Anyway, I was extremely excited because I’ve never had a proper make up lesson!
Other make up artists at Estee Lauder/YSL/Shiseido counters have never actually done a make over for me that I liked (probably because they were free…) but yeah. I was hoping that this was going to be awesome and was *_*!

I got there and the place was awesome looking. And the make up artist, Peter, was super friendly, encouraging and helpful. I learnt a lot of tricks that I didn’t know before and was completely in control of how I wanted the make up to turn out like. I was able to request if I wanted light or heavy foundation, bright or nude lipstick, and you get what I mean.

I’m not sure if you guys realise this but all the fake lashes I’ve worn in the past have been quite dramatic and thick - and these are the first ones I’ve ever worn that are “natural” and omg, they feel amazing. I think I’m going to get more and more natural lashes from now on ;_; ! They’re so much lighter and look gorgeous!

At the end of the day, I left with the foundation, concealer, eye lashes and lipstick (yay!) – I had to pay an extra $59 to cover the costs but I was completely happy with it! I only wish that I had enough money to buy every other product he used (especially the purple eye shadow!)

Anyway, I was super duper happy with this experience and if I ever get the chance, I will definitely do it  again!
This experience is offered in most states in Australia, so if you’d like to go check it out please ahead over to
here to find one in your state! I definitely recommend this experience so go try it outttt!! :D

Have you had a make up lesson before?

I was not sponsored by Napoleon Perdis to do this
I was given a RedBalloon voucher from Nuffnang but the choice
to do this was completely up to me.
