Hello hello! Life can be such a mystery sometimes…
When I was in high school, I had so many visions of what the future would be like; from my career to my social life. Then life comes along and just tips your whole world upside down. As an adolescent, I repeatedly said that I would never ever teach because my patience wore thin and I thought kids were annoying brats. But now here we are in 2014. I work at Childcare/Kindergarten and watching a toddler read out the Alphabet can brighten up my whole day!
I don’t look good in a lab coat anyway…
Woah! This has really been such a freakin’ h u g e year for me!
So many new things walked in to my life and I am so grateful for the opportunities that I was given in 2013.
I can’t even begin to explain all the new and exciting things that have happened in my life this year.
I guess many of you would have noticed that my activity online decreased in 2013, and the only explanation I can give for that is I was enjoying my time elsewhere! Not in front of a computer screen! It’s a little difficult to explain how introverted I am at times, and really breaking away from my constant solitary computer usage has been incredibly healthy for me.
My year actually started off pretty terribly, and I was devastated to think that my 2013 would be disastrous.
But as the saying goes, “when one door closes, another opens.” And it was absolutely true in my case. There was a lot of poison in my life before; from work, to friends and even from myself. And I believe that this year really cleansed a lot of that out. I managed to quit my soul-draining job, and within 3 days I was already working at a new amazing place! (Let me take a second to say how much I love working here. My boss is great! The staff are all kind and I’ve never dreaded going in to work) I also spent a crazy amount on my hair for the first time and loved the result! I went to my first concert, and attended a whole bunch of events. I got my driving license and a brand new car! I’ve met and maintained a bunch of lovely friends. I attended my first photoshoot with a professional photographer (and a couple more afterwards)! I stayed out all night for the first time ever – at a hotel with a group of good looking people. And I did my first ever alcohol shot!
And most importantly, I started dating one of my best friends, a cool guy named Ashley.
I don’t think much of the above would’ve been possible without his support throughout this year ♥
So yeah. 2013 has been incredibly kind to me and I can only hope 2014 will be too.
I wish you all a Happy New Year and see you all in 2014!!!

Hello hello hello! How’s everyone been since my incredibly long absence ahem.
I’ve been quite busy with work, uni and life in general :/ But in all of that, I’ve finally obtained my driving license hurrah! (Yes, finalllyy I hear you all say haha) But yes, it really does seem like time is just flying by :/ Eeesh.
Anyway I’ve been thinking a whole lot about being an introvert ever since Ling posted a link on fb the other day.
I’m not sure if most people realise it but I’m actually quite the introvert and it’s really easy for me to crawl in to my shell at any time. It takes effort to come out and try be the social butterfly that so many others around me are.
Quite a short post today because it’s late and I need to get to sleep!
I miss blogging so I’ll definitely be aiming to write a few more posts in the coming days.
Are you more of an introvert or extrovert?
