It’s Christmas Time!

Christmas is already tomorrow and I’m super duper excited!
I don’t think there’s been a single year where I have not been excited over the festivities, joy, songs, house lights and presents!! My younger brother seems to have outgrown it, but I haven’t. Even after 20 years, I am still super duper excited about unwrapping gifts and seeing others open theirs!  (I guess I’m really just still a kid at heart ..? ♥)

I also  have a habit of sitting by the Christmas tree and staring at the presents in hopes to guess what they may be.

But yes, if you haven’t guessed already, Christmas is my absolute favourite time of the year!
No matter how crappy life can get or the arguments that may arise between people; I find that Christmas somehow just heals all of that. And the joy, spirit and love overcomes all the negativity and just makes me feel happy and giddy.

(I have no idea when the left picture was taken. I think it was in 1994. The right photo was taken two days ago!)

In my family, it’s usually Christmas eve that is when we have the Christmas dinner.
Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ve had a proper Christmas eve dinner in quite a few years. For the past 2- 3 years, either one or both of my elder siblings would be overseas. And even this year, my sister has to work at the hospital during Christmas. So boo to that. But either way, I’m still looking forward to tonight’s small / quiet celebration. (And the waiting till midnight to open the presents ..although, I have a feeling we’ll end up not waiting and just opening them on the Eve)

Oh, the reason why most of our celebrations occur on the Eve is pretty much cos mum’s birthday is on the 25th!

As you might be able to tell from these few photos – my younger brother used to cry when dad held him but was completely fine with mum. Pretty sure it made dad really annoyed all the time! Haha

I wish we had more photos from each Christmas – but this is pretty much all I have. Apart from the few that I’ve taken when I got a camera ..and they were just crappy shots of wrapping paper and blurry shots of people in the house! Anyway, I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas Eve/ Christmas Day!
