Hello beautiful and wonderful people !
Sorry for delaying the video post again, but I hate back-tracking about events/dates so I’m going to get these out of the way first! So yes, on Saturday (12th Feb); I met up with Vu, Amanda, Sam and Min (again!) to go to the Japanese Summer Festival (夏の祭り) that was held at Docklands. o(・∇・o)(o・∇・)o
Heh, I decided to wear a cosplay type of Kimono; which I found out after I ordered it; was kind of a mix of Japanese and Chinese traditional clothes. But either way, I love it! Although, I found it SUPER embarrassing wearing it around the city *^* ! But whatever. ヽ（´ー｀）┌ It was worth it hehe.
We also decided to take purikura one last time together before they leave hehe. (*-*) I really like this machine booth ! I decided to decorate it more like a weird/funny style whilst Amanda did kind of a cutesy style !

We arrived at the festival quite late and it was packed with people.
So packed that I didn’t manage to see a few people that I wanted to see ! ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ)ﾟ｡ Furthermore, the lines for the food stalls were crazily long so none of us bothered (and we already ate Grill’d and Macarons before hand) !
Oh, but I did manage to see Shirley (in the black) ^-^”! Highlightttt!!
Although, it sucked that I kind of missed her dancing. Well, I saw a bit of the dance, but there were so many people that I didn’t end up seeing her （√Д＼）。!But it’s okay, I managed to see her in her yukata teehee!
As we were about to leave; I decided it would be best to change out of my cosplay and in to casual clothes considering I wasn’t ready to go through the intense stares again ! But yes, it also meant that it was the Goodbye to Amanda and Sam as they were leaving the next day ! ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ)ﾟ｡
The three days I met up with them in that week alone was heaps of fun and I miss them heaps! And I know that even though we all live in different states; we’ll definitely see each other again sometime soon!

sure there must be people who think i dress weird and wear scary lenses, but the majority of the people like it when I look like a doll XD (uhhh girls* that is XD!)

But anyway, to answer your question, I've walked around in the city before in cosplay, but I wasn't too bothered by it. It certainly was embarrassing at first though, but you get used to it after awhile of walking. xD

You look really nice with the kimono ;___; ! It happened to me something similar with wearing not-casual clothes. Two years ago for a japanese convention I wanted to wear my kigurumi. I had a long time from my house to the convention and it was quite embarassing wearing the kigurumi ;__; everybody in the train was laughing at me. Since then I haven't put my kigurumi anymore just at home. ;___;
hahahah this reminded me so much about my cosplay days. :) I hide behind my bf all the time!! But I tell you what, don't look at people's expression even though u know they are staring, just look straight and never look sideways cos when ppl walk past u. dey tend to look sideways too then u'll feel awkward. walk straight n just be normal. :D

But you're really brave to have walked down the streets in that kimono. I'm always scared of cosplaying and wearing "attracting" outfits as people might make remarks but I personally think it is awesome when people dress differently :D

When I went back to the USA after I finished school in Japan and before coming back to work I only had Japanese close and EVERYONE would stare at me like I was a freak XD I wasn't even wearing anything THAT strange… just more fashionable things, dresses, shorts over tights and leg warmers. I felt stupid dressed in just jeans and a t-shirt, so I didn't let it bother me, but it was really weird XD
